What is Desert Salon?
Since 2018, Desert Salon has been held annually in Joshua Tree, CA. Attendees have worked on novels, short stories, screenplays, essays, poetry, and more. Since then, we’ve had major successes—projects developed at Desert Salon have gone on to be featured in major national magazines, literary magazines, anthologies, and podcast episodes.

What is the retreat like?
Aside from lots of quiet writing time, the four-night retreat includes group meals, nightly readings, (optional) group hikes, an evening out in Pioneertown, and workshop sessions
